Mission Outaouais' 7th Anniversary culminates Appointing of Elders

October 2023 Mission Outaouais celebrated the network’s seventh year of existence. In completion of the work of ministry, they collectively felt led this is time to appoint elders.

According to the Word, the Apostolic work of Paul was always fulfilled when in every town and region elders were appointed over the work of making disciples and preaching the gospel.

The body gladly entered into this journey for a year in the region seeking God. Who among you aspire to operate in this function? Who actively seeks the task of an elder?

The one year process comes to an end and finally the appointing of elders took place. It was a big gathering, roasting lambs together, celebrating highlights, and sharing the journey for the past seven years. Other local churches from out of province came to celebrate the event and share how the network impacted their lives and their respective fellowships through the years. A local pastor also known as a spiritual leader appointed and confirmed the journey. He acknowledge the process the church had to take. Laid hands and anointed the newly appointed elders of the network.

"After preaching the Good News in Derbe and making many disciples, Paul and Barnabas returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch of Pisidia,  where they strengthened the believers. They encouraged them to continue in the faith, reminding them that we must suffer many hardships to enter the Kingdom of God.  Paul and Barnabas also appointed elders in every church. With prayer and fasting, they turned the elders over to the care of the Lord, in whom they had put their trust."

Acts 14:21-23
